LIFT ACP:

As part of this package, enrollees will receive access to two online, self-paced courses. In total, the LIFT ACP package is 3-6 hours of training.

Part One: ACP Overview* will teach your team everything they need to know in order to fully understand what the Affordable Connectivity Program is and how it benefits the clients and communities they serve.

Part Two: The Advanced ACP Enrollment Specialist Course prepares your team to be certified ACP Enrollment Specialists. This course equips them to effectively assess, apply, and enroll qualified applicants from a variety of backgrounds into the Affordable Connectivity Program.

*Please note that the ACP Overview is included in the LIFT Navigators and LIFT Trainer packages.

Certificates will be awarded upon completion. Both trainings are self-guided and can be completed at one’s own pace.

Part One:

You’ll learn how to:

You will be able to explain the role of affordable high-speed internet in ongoing issues of digital equity.

The course outlines the steps of the ACP application and enrollment process.

The lesson presents detailed eligibility criteria for ACP and internet services from providers.

There are many forms of documentation that can support an ACP application. The lesson outlines them in detail.

We include helpful research articles, links to government resources, information about internet service providers, and other trustworthy resources.

Part Two:

You’ll learn how to:

Upon completion of this course, you will be able to assist clients with the entire ACP application process from start to finish, including submitting their support documentation and applying the government benefit to their internet plan.

The course provides strategies that will equip you to anticipate common challenges and stumbling blocks in the ACP application process and identify steps to navigate them.

You will learn how to effectively educate clients about the provisions and limitations of ACP, including the temporary nature of the government subsidy.

The lesson presents ways to enhance your research and explanation of available ACP options and other affordable internet alternatives in your client’s area.

You will learn how to report any lack of coverage to the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) as appropriate.
